I love learning and trying new things. Anything- science, history, how stuff works, art, people's life stories, how to cook new things, how to fix things, etc etc. My job right now involves doing pure research, and I love it. I also have a quirky (and probably over-active) sense of humor, and I make myself laugh more often than most people.
Some people would say I'm quiet, but actually I'm just being thoughtful usually. I like to really think about things before I say them.
I've been in Cleveland for about 9 months now. Before Cleveland, I lived in Portland OR, then upstate NY before that. I'm still in the mode of exploring, trying new things, and finding out what fun stuff Cleveland has to offer. But I've also already found a bunch of 'gems' around here and fallen into some routines (like going to the west side market on saturday mornings).
I love a good coversation. Favorite topics to talk about probably include relationships, sports, NPR shows, funny looking animals, food, art/style, good movies or tv... varied topics I guess. I'm not afraid to put myself out there, and I think that good communication is absolutely the most important aspect to a solid relationship.
What I'm looking for is a girl to have good times with, laugh a lot, someone who will challenge me, who is different enough from me to keep things interesting, and who is also looking for a partner for having adventures and doing new things. Someone, for example, who would think an unplanned weekend road trip to a new place would be fun. A cooking partner. Someone to talk to after an especially rough or especially good day at work. The most important quality I'm looking for in a partner is probably independence. I really like when a girl has the willingness to be different and to say and do things that are true to herself.
That said, I'm not taking this thing too seriously, and at first I'd just like to find someone to go out and have a good time with, and see where things go from there. The stuff I like to do on a typical night out can be pretty varied... from an Indians game to the Cleveland Orchestra, a pub crawl to a trip to the museum, to a late night walk through the neighborhood. Or sometimes I'd rather stay in, cook up a nice dinner and watch a movie or a baseball/football/hockey game.
I'm working on my knuckleball. At this point, I think it might be the only way I'm going to make it into the majors.
