Brazilian born, slight accent, good dancer, great kisser (so I've been told), fun and open personality. Having lived here for over 20 years I am also a New Yorker: liberal, curious, confident, stylish, aggressive in my pursuits and likely to appreciate quirkiness more than traditional beauty in most things.
I work in banking technology - I have an analytical mind but I am also pretty creative and have a good eye and ear for music and art. I normally socialize and date creative types, not a conscious choice but more a kinship than anything. I am neither a money or power driven person, although I make a good living and would like someone who is similar. I am pretty social and meet people easily but I am not interested in the bar scene anymore and already know all my friends and their friends :-)
I've tried internet dating before and had the pleasure to meet some nice people along the way, but not a right match. This experience helped me learn about myself and about online dating and it has probably made me less idealistic, all of which I consider positive outcomes.
I've learned that there is someone a little bit taller, a little bit smarter or a little bit skinnier just one click away, but one could be easily clicking through eternity :-)
So I decided to stick to the basics. I want a partner, someone who is looking to build something together and start a life together. You should be open minded and worldly otherwise we probably won't click. Smart and funny is always welcome but most of all you should be caring and treat your relationships with respect. I appreciate irreverent humor and unorthodox opinions. A man with a good sense of style is always a turn on. I prefer the bookish to the sporty types of personality. A good balance between being active and intellectually curious is ideal.
I also have a young life style - I have a lot of hobbies, a good and fun group of friends and love trying new things as much staying at home so I'd rather meet someone around my same age bracket, not too old and not too young.
Hobbies: playing tennis, cooking, learning the piano, writing
