I am a little Slipknot mixed with Neil Diamond. Add a little Tom Petty, CCR, Johnny Cash, and Niyaz with a dash of Firewater, Ringside, and Snoop Dogg. Stir in some Avenged Sevenfold, Abba, Gotan Project, Eric Clapton, and GNR. Bake for 45 minutes and frost with Danny Elfman, DJ Tiesto, Thievery Corporation, and MGMT. Serve with a side of Apocalyptica, Rilo Kiley, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Gipsy Kings, and Voltaire. Enjoy!
My most recent endeavor is writing about healthy living. I have spent the last several months studying nutrition and fitness, but am layering it upon prior knowledge of spirituality, sexuality, physical health, etc. I am writing to grasp a holistic view of wellness that is simple, effective, and realistic for the lay person. I am also seriously considering a new and silly idea for a
movie, and writing it as a short story. It will be a combo horrordramaromancecomedy story. I also just started dabbling into photography. I love living in a place where there are so many opportunities to capture such beautiful and rich scenes. Update: I participated in my local art walk as an artist. I can't believe I displayed my own photography!
I am really good at making people laugh, being optimistic in good and interesting experiences, enjoying life, moving forward, and learning life lessons along the way.
Books: Shopgirl, Ethical Slut, anything by Ina May Gaskin, The Twilight Series (yeah, yeah), Harry Potter series (yeah, yeah again), and most books related to sexuality, breastfeeding, alternative relationships. I also enjoy reading Jennifer Meyer for a good "chick flick" type of easy read. I also enjoy research about health and wellness from a holistic point of view.
Movies: Labyrinth, Nightmare Before Christmas, Shopgirl, most Johnny Depp movies, most Kevin Smith movies, Halloween, Princess Bride, most Tim Burton movies, Saving Silverman, Juno, Super Troopers, Business of Being Born, It's Complicated, The Crow, Gremlins, Goonies, A Christmas Story, Napoleon Dynamite, Gross Pointe Blank, High Fidelity, About a Boy ,Twilight series, Harry Potter series, The Full Monty, and Waking Ned Devine. I also enjoy most foreign flicks.
Shows: Queer as Folk (American version), True Blood, RuPaul's Drag Race, That 70's Show, Black Books, Sons of Anarchy, Big Love, and Dexter. How I Met Your Mother is a new to me sitcom that I just love.
Music: Just about anything. Favorite artists include: Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Avenged Sevenfold, Def Leppard, Slipknot, see musical cake, etc.
Food: Almost anything. All time favorites are ripe strawberries, extremely dark chocolate, yellow mustard (that's more my favorite condiment, but it counts as I use it a lot), pumpkin pie, sashimi, coconut curry, steak, etc. I enjoy the adventure of trying new food and flavors. I also recently discovered that I am annoyed by bad or unsatisfying food.
