Hi, I'm Ali. I just moved back to Houston, TX in August from Denver, CO after finishing my masters in counseling psychology from DU. Why, you may ask, would I ever leave Denver? Well, I just missed the people in Texas. Growing up in Texas most of my life, I am accustomed to how warm and friendly most people are in Texas. Of course people were nice in Colorado as well, but it was different. I do miss having an average of 300 days of sunshine a year and being able to experience all four seasons in Denver, but you will always miss something. Ironically when I live in Denver, I missed having thunderstorms and having it rain all day. Before I lived in Denver, I lived in Austin.
I am outgoing and can talk to just about anyone. I love meeting new people, so this seemed like a good way to do that. I am looking to have fun and explore the city with. I do not go out to bars/clubs all the time, though I am very capable of doing that every now and then. I'd much rather explore new places outside of the usual Midtown and Washington street areas. I love going to concerts/live shows, museums, and even the zoo (the kid in me). I am not picky when it comes to food, it just can't be too spicy. I am always up for trying new things... at least try it once. I am very flexible when it comes to activities, I enjoy a chill night in, hiking, camping, or going out to dancing. However, I am one that likes to be prepared, so whenever I do camp I will bring things for every circumstance.
About You: It is important that you can joke around. Intelligence is extremely important to me, because I am always wanting to learn new things and be able to talk with. Taste in music is important... I am not the biggest fan of country music, but am will to tolerate it at time. If country music is all you listen to then we probably won't work out. I would like someone that is outgoing and challenges me in multiple ways. I would like someone that is goal-oriented and always trying to work on themselves in some way, whether it is working towards a career, better health, or just working on yourself all around. I know I am not perfect, so I am always trying to improve myself as well.
