Sitting here trying to figure out what to say that will give me the best chance of impressing you, seems to me to reek of desperation. Still, I trudge forward. I guess this means I'm desperate, something I wasn't actually aware of until just now.
I consider myself to be a positive person, though I feel that possessing a healthy level of cynicism helps to keep me grounded.
As a rule, I try to surround myself with people who can keep smiling even when life throws them a curve ball and hits them in the groin. (Note:This actually happened to me during a little league game and was the only time I made it to first base that entire season. So, sometimes your follies can lead to your biggest successes.)
I try not to take life too seriously and find that this helps to keep things fun and spontaneous most of the time...(Warning, not useful in a court of law.)
I enjoy life and feel that I've been living my dream. I started a surf travel company a few years ago that has taken me to places I never thought I would go. The business has had its ups and downs, but this is part of what brings new adventure and welcome challenges to me everyday.
I've been living in Costa Rica for the past 4 years, however, I'm contemplating a move back to California soon. I really miss civilization and need to get some snowboarding days in this season.
What I'm looking for here? If I have to narrow it down, I guess I'm simply looking for a woman who I share a mutual attraction and some interests with (is that too vague?). Preferably, I'd like to meet someone who has a wry sense of humor and can laugh at the obvious irony of life.
I don't have huge expectations for meeting someone here that I'll end up spending my life with. I'm just trying to find a fun date to go on while I'm in town. Is that too shallow?
If you are into surfing, that's a big plus. If not, I can definitely teach you how...As I always enjoy a good laugh.
Let me know if you are interested.
