After trying the whole work-o-holic bit with my career after graduation, I quickly realized that there was definitely more to life than pursuing one's dreams in business. I'm now looking for my best friend. Unfortunately, that's proving to be more difficult than I expected, as meeting new people through existing friends and by "family recommendations" can be a bit... should I say it?... staged. I suppose I can admit that I'm kind of a romantic at heart to expect more spontaneity..., but honestly, I half expect that things will develop over time with someone, a best friend, I just really connect with. Also, I'm definitely not into the bar-scene since I consider starting off on the right foot is a critical part of a relationship (expectations-wise, etc.).
I enjoy a more athletic lifestyle that includes organized/recreational sports. I will typically play city-league Ultimate Frisbee during the Spring/Summer and randomly swim, play table tennis, snowboard, surf etc... when not running around on the field. I've been known to do some charity/volunteer work for a variety of causes, but mostly enjoy being a camp counselor to a teen retreat in Montana, and sometimes Texas. I love watching football... especially Boise State football, if you're a Vandal... we may have issues lol. Traveling is something I'm definitely wanting to do more and more now that I have the time and resources... Italy? Australia? New Zealand? ... all in good time.
When it comes right down to it, I'm looking for someone who can understand me... and who won't leave when the going gets tough, so in other words, someone who's both compassionate and tough in the heart. Also, and this may sound petty and too much like a loan officer, but being completely honest, please look elsewhere if you have a high debt-to-income ratio, I need to trust that my best friend (possibly for life) is responsible with their finances. Other than that, I'm completely open to at least a chat with whoever is interested.
