Namaste` ya’ll
That is not mine, but I like it and so borrowed it as a form of salutation for a proper southern Yogi like myself. Below is all me for better or worse. Its a whimsical attempt to communicate core values and perceptions of life ,, and how to live it, in what is probably a weak poetic form, (Dr Suese like it seems). Besides I just felt like dong something fun and different. Hopefully it's somewhat interesting and or entertaining. I find all big truths of life are universal. What is really True, is true for me, you and everyone. After that comes relative truths, individual perceptions prejudiced by our likes and dislikes that are products of our environment due to a combination of upbringing, gender, sexuality, education, and economic class. They are important also when valued in the right context. The real person inside though is that part of us that transcends and is untouched by those external factors. That is the part of us that intuitively recognizes the big truths. It is there in everyone, some have learned to listen to it, some ignore or deny it for various reasons, usually because it triggers something scary they can't allow themselves to feel.
That is the real person I try to see in others and myself.I am someone to whom introspection comes natural, and am looking for the same in a partner. They are interested in the big questions , yet grounded in the everyday. The can feel the difference between fear and love. Everyone has both inside them, just like everyone has both masculine and feminine energy also. or they would not be here on the planet. That evolution from fear to love is our work, it’s our gift, that gives us the contrast to experience the bliss that is the birthright from our Creator. I have over time learned that healthy people with integrity own their fear and practice to starve it through recognition but not indulgence, and feed their love and want to share it. The attraction for both of us needs to be physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. At this point in my life, I want all cylinders firing. How about you?
Resistance is futile
we can't own a thing
this body is borrowed
this life is a dream
follow the Dharma
as the masters have taught
the result will be bliss
untouched by emotions or thoughts
care not for these things
as the Christ once had said
yet notice the Lilly
they neither toil nor spin
Hear the words of the Buddha
for they embody the truth
this life causes suffering
until we learn to let loose
live in the present
not the future or past.
real life's in the moment
that transcends even death
enlightened self interest
this is the Tao of whats "right"
act for the good of all
this is how to live life
to get off of the wheel
of births and of deaths
learn to stop making karma
and become free of all debt
the way to achieve this
is to live without care
if the results of ones actions
are a success or they fail
Resistance is futile
noone gets out alive
find the seat of your soul
its the purpose of life.
approach each situation
with equanimity of mind
have no concern for ones status
be it low or it high
each moment is precious
this life is a stage
do not react with malice
learn to live like a sage
choose to act with integrity
be honest yet kind
discretion is valor
real love is not blind
All religions have taught
these same timeless truths
choose love over fear
live by the golden rule
don't get caught up in maya
a drama of space and of time
its designed to look real,
but don't call it "mine"
its a 3D illusion,
a distraction of mind
none of it matters
cause the truth is sublime
you aren't this body
you aren't this mind
you are a drop of the ocean
of eternal energy and light
Life's gonna get us,
noone gets out alive
its about how we live
not how long we survive
Resistance is futile
get with the plan
stop trying to hang on to
