Random guy at bar: “You’re the hottest thing I’ve seen in here so far.”
Me: “Thank you” (smile).
Guy: “Well don’t get too excited; I did say ‘so far.’”
Me: (silence, with faltering smile).
Now, I have been in this situation on two separate occasions, so you can decide which is your favorite. The first time this happened, the charming man said, “I mean, you’re like a Ford: nice, but not too expensive.”
Very smooth.
The second time I found myself in this situation, another equally alluring guy said, “I mean, you’re like the dark horse at a track; people have their doubts about you, but you still may surprise everyone and come out on top.”
What?
Soooooo, I still frequent bars, but more for the entertainment factor rather than the possibility that I may actually meet someone who won’t compare me to either a car or a racehorse.
I love that I can laugh about those moments, especially because laughing is my favorite thing to do.
More about me: I'm smart, independent, and opinionated only about the stuff that matters. I take care of myself physically, love animals, and make the effort to recycle. I'm also compassionate, confident, silly, optimistic, and thoughtful. I'm the kind of person who names the occasional spider I find in my bathroom instead of killing it and who loves a good scary movie, but will probably cling to your arm the entire time we're watching it. One of my biggest flaws (yeah, I’m going there) is that I am ridiculously directionally-challenged. This brings me to you. If we are going to meet up somewhere and I don’t show up, please assume that I am lost and send help.
I'm looking for someone who is educated and has a good work ethic, but also makes time to enjoy himself with the people he cares about. I'm interested in a guy who is confident and looks people in the eye, someone who is easy to talk to and not too serious too often, someone who has a life, but is interested in maybe making me a part of it. Oh, and bonus points if you floss your teeth.
