Hi, I’m Sean. Ideally, we would have met by coincidence hanging out with mutual friends at a fun holiday party or bumping into each other in line at Chipotle or because my friend’s 6 year old son accidentally threw his Frisbee into your picnic at the Sheep Meadow in Central Park or sitting next to each other on a flight to Sao Paulo for work, or because I noticed you from across the room and walked over to introduce myself after you smiled in my direction... But, without these moments of spontaneous serendipity, hopefully Match.com is the next best thing, right? Or, at least it will be fun to meet a more diverse group of new people that I normally would not have the opportunity to get to know...
Anyway, hmm, a little about me… I’m the youngest of 4 siblings, my sister Susan and brother Tommy are my 2 best friends, and I love spending time with my 6 nieces and nephews. They are very important to me, along with my long term friends and their children. We grew up a few blocks from the beach in Manhattan Beach, CA and like almost every other beach kid, I learned to ski and surf when I was in elementary school, and I’ve always been very active athletically. Fortunately though, I also genuinely enjoyed school, so my parents never had to worry too much about whether or not I did my homework. ;-) I’m a bit of a dichotomy, but I like diverse interests. They keep life interesting and challenging. I like to be active, but it's also important to just relax hanging with friends or reading a good book.
Overall I think that I’ve been able to develop a healthy balance between my career, family, friends and personal interests, and I really enjoy what I do professionally. I’ve also traveled extensively through Europe, Latin America and Asia for work and fun. After graduate school I worked overseas for 5 years (a huge challenge and a ton of fun!) before moving to NYC about 8 years ago. I live on the UWS and love being close to the park.
Ideally, I would like to meet a fun, intelligent, kind, affectionate, active and outgoing woman who has a great sense of humor, loves children/dogs and enjoys exploring new places, both here in the city and farther afield. My best friend and confidant. I'm ready for the next stage of my life.
