Some of my favorite books were the James Harriot series, All Things Bright and Beautiful. Not only because I am an animal lover, but because a line from one of the books has always stood out for me.
James Harriot, whose real name was James White, was a veterinarian in England back in the day. He frequently made calls at night in the frigid English countryside. At one point, he remembers a particular call. That night, and it was a cold one, he went to a farm to help with the animals, leaving his wife at home asleep. When he finally arrived home, he took off his rain soaked clothes and crawled into bed. He describes his feet as blocks of ice. As soon as he lays down, however, his wife moves closer to him, to help warm him. He goes on to wonder how few women would do that, as opposed to moving away from the cold. His conclusion is that there are probably very, very few.
I would not move away from the cold. That is just the type of girl I am. :D
I enjoy the nerdier side of life, and can often be faulted for being a little too sarcastic. My favorite color is red, my favorite drink is water, and my favorite movie, today, is The 300. Want to know more? Simply ask! I don't bite, and I enjoy coversation. :)
