About me- I grew up in Raleigh and went to UNC (GO HEELS!). I moved to NYC after college for a few years. I have a job that I find both inspiring and fun. I love living back in my home town and getting to see my sweet baby niece regularly.
I love movies, my dog, the ocean, musicals, laughing til I feel physically sick, UNC basketball, singing at the top of my lungs in the car, staying up all night because I can't put down a good book and discovering a great new song or band.
Unlike 99.9% of the people on Match claim to be, I'm not "totally laid back and easy going"! If what everyone is claiming is true, it's a miracle anything is ever accomplished in this world! I'm a firm believer that there is a time to be Type A and a time to relax. It's a balance I do my best to maintain but I probably need to be reminded to be more laid back from time to time!
About him- I'm trying to be open-minded and not have a list of 1,000 things a guy must be. A kind heart, intelligence, humor and stability are pretty vital though. If you're inconsistent or moody, I'm not the girl for you. I find men like that to be exhausting, not mysterious or artistic. I promise I'm pretty even keel.
As I'm probably the least graceful girl to ever enter a ballet class and am constantly laughing at myself, any guy I date needs to have a sense of humor. I don't need a comedian but my favorite people are those who don't take themselves too seriously and enjoy a good belly laugh.
I'd love to find a guy who can actually read... and by read, I mean something other than the sports page or Match profiles (and clearly lots of folks out there aren't actually reading the profiles!). Those are fine reading sources, but please have read something with more than 200 pages and not work related since you graduated from high school!
Be open to having fun and don't be afraid to look silly. I don't trust a man who's afraid to try new things and look like an idiot in the process.
