Okay, a quick snapshot: I live for singing, music and the theater. I enjoy traveling, exploring, and learning about other cultures. I grew up in small town Minnesota but have always been a city girl at heart. I get so much energy from being in a big city. DC has become a great home for me, and I love taking frequent trips to NYC. I've never been much of a gym-goer, but I enjoy being active and adventuresome (and yes, I've been skydiving!).
I care deeply about my friends, and my family means the world to me. I tend to be the person who tries to take care of everyone else, which can come at my own expense. I am a strong, independent woman and I hold my own but, though I hate to admit it, I wouldn't mind having someone to take care of me too.
I'm looking for someone who is honest, open-minded, intelligent, and compassionate. A use of and appreciation for sarcasm and humor is a must. I love to laugh and be a little goofy. I appreciate people who are socially conscious and passionate (about people, life, career). Ultimately, I want a relationship that has friendship is at its core.
A quick but important note: Many of my closest friends are gay, and I am a big advocate for gay rights. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, then we're definitely not a good match. I don't expect you to join me at all the gay bars, parades, or rallies every time I go out with my friends, but if you can feel comfortable in your own skin there, that counts for major bonus points in my book. Okay, just had to get that out of the way. :)
