I’m a born and bred Bay Area native, but I haven't lived in California since finishing college. Between then and now, I kept myself busy as a ski instructor in Park City, working a sous-chef, serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bangladesh, developing mental health programs in London and dorking out at grad school. I now work in energy and it's exactly where I want to be. It's a pretty random mix, but the dots connect better that you might think.
What do these things say about me? First, I love travelling and being outdoors. Skiing, diving, biking, camping, hiking, walking (anywhere) and beachin’ all count. Second, I'm game for doing pretty much anything, particularly if it's something I've never done before. What else? I really like cooking and entertaining; throwing back cheap pints and savoring a great bottle of pinot; and going out big on Friday and laying low on a lazy Saturday. Last thing: Family and friends are a huge part of my life. They’re the biggest reason I’m back in the Bay.
What about you? I’m hoping to meet someone who is warm and intelligent, relaxed yet driven, and curious and reflective. Work-life balance is key, so hopefully you really like what you do and it fits in with the rest of your life. You’re affectionate and you listen – and you expect the same from me.
And us? We explore, relax, find new places to eat, grab coffee, savor fine cocktails and enjoy simple things together. We also respect each other’s independence. We communicate well and have patience when we don’t. You set me straight when I’m out of line (and I get to do the same), but we hear each other out when we disagree.
If this sounds good, shoot me an email, send me a telegram or fly me a message via carrier pigeon. Smoke signals work too. Just don't wink.
