The short story:
I like to play and laugh and be silly.
Some say I can be intense.
I'll always tell you what I think, but I'll use my manners.
I'm loyal and generous.
I talk to strangers.
I'm always up for new adventures.
The long story:
I moved to Cali 6 years ago from the Midwest. I'm an elementary school teacher and I love it! It can be some long hours, but it's where my heart is.
I've recently gotten into juicing and experimenting with raw & vegan cooking. I love how great I feel when I'm juicing regularly. That said, I also like pizza and going to hole-in-the-wall restaurants and the occasional nice spot to try out new things.
I am training for a half-marathon. It's a little daunting because I'm not really a distance person, but I need a challenge to kick off 2013, so here goes! I won't say I'm an outdoors person because I'm pretty much a city girl, but I grew up camping and hiking and riding my bike all over, so I do go outside...
I volunteer with an organization called the Alternatives to Violence Project and it has really changed the way I look at people, including myself. It's such a gift to be able to watch people transform power, which is what the workshops are all about.
I get riled up about politics and injustice.
I laugh at myself and my own jokes.
I can talk a lot, but I'm also very observant (I've been accused of being a CIA agent) and I listen with an open heart.
I say yes a lot.
What I want:
Honestly, I'm really happy with my life right now (with plenty of goals and aspirations, certainly). I'm looking to meet people who can add to what I've already got. I'm looking to meet fun people who enjoy taking reasonable risks.
Ideally, my "match" will be easy-going, kind, pensive, easy on the eyes, a little goofy, a little rebellious, and really super awesome.
