Ive often debated if those of us not living in Southern California, Florida, Arizona or Hawaii with year round perfect weather have it all wrong. But then again after spending all my life in the Philly area it be pretty tough to have an 80 degree Christmas, not have that first warm day in the spring, the first crisp morning in the fall and most importantly not sit in traffic on memorial day weekend on the way to the shore..
Each season has its own character and its own charm. The variety keeps things interesting and present different opportunities. In the spring its looking forward to the nicer weather, the opportunity to get outside, the longer days and the prospect of summer.
In the summer its the short work weeks, sun till late into the evening, getting in the car Thursday or Friday for the weekly drive down the shore leading to the long weekends with the beach happy hours and late nights.
The fall brings the changing of seasons at just the time you start to get tired of the heat and humidity, which eventually leads into those perfect weekends in October filled with homecomings, football games, and hopefully Phils playoff victories.
Eventually we get to the winter with the prospect of Christmas, family time, college hoops and snow.
What makes all these times even more special is having someone to spend it with... and thats why I have joined this online dating phenomena which I never quite agreed with or understood before.
