Here's a little about me. I grew up in Vermont and lived for 8 years in Seattle, both of which influenced my love for nature and all things outdoors. It would be nice, if not essential, to be with someone who enjoys getting out and enjoying nature in some capacity. That said, I've lived in DC for almost 4 years now and enjoy all the perks of city living. I initially moved here to pursue a career change in nursing and, to my initial surprise, have come to enjoy living here (minus the humid summers). Prior to becoming a RN I worked as a massage therapist and yoga teacher. Yoga is a big part of my life; it keeps me balanced and physically and mentally healthy. I do my best to live consciously and embrace a healthy lifestyle, but I'm by no means rigid. Moderation is key.
At first impression I may come off as a bit shy, but my friends and family know me as funny, loyal, and intense (in a good way). I love to travel and explore new places, but I'm also content with quiet nights and the comforts of home. In general, I tend to prefer smaller, more intimate settings compared to large crowds or noisy clubs. Give me a walk in the park, a cozy restaurant, or a good conversation over a bottle of wine any day.
I'm looking for someone who shares my passion for the outdoors and lives a fit, healthy lifestyle. Someone grounded and intelligent, passionate yet laid-back, and has a good sense of humor. Life can be far too serious, and having someone to laugh with just makes the day better. I'm also hoping to find someone who has a spiritual side and sees the beauty of life. I'm not religious, but I do believe that there's more to life than what we can see & touch. I'm looking to meet someone that has some spiritual leaning, in whatever form that may take. If you think we might have a spark of compatibility, give me a shout (or a wink).
