This is where I seem to keep logging out for another couple days... how to portray myself in a few paragraphs? Hmmm...
I love the beach, a good film (drama, comedy or a great documentary), I am a big reader, I at least attempt the NYT crossword each day, and will rarely decline an invite to a Giants, 49ers or Warriors game (excellent focus, vocal cheerleader and near-excellent game knowledge for a chick).
I tidy up quite nicely, if I say so. I love live music, great food, travel. I will go anywhere tropical, especially if it involves diving (I'm certified, quite adventurous about some things- caves/ deep dives/ night dives, but sort of a baby about others- warm water required/ no kelp in sight). I'll go to Yosemite at any time of year. Have golf clubs/ need skills- a shoulder injury sidelined me after only 4 months of lessons; just getting back on the range. I'm also happy staying home- lounging in my sweats with a good book, cooking for friends and family, renting a movie or doing nothing but chatting over a glass of wine.
Although I never put my science degree to any kind of good use in my career, I have a fanatical interest in all things science and medical. I can sometimes get the puffed-up sense that I am a “Near Doctor.” If you have any CSI or mystery-solving needs, I love those assignments too. If at this point you are still reading (and drawn to me in a positive way), we are doing fine.
I am probably supposed to describe my physical self. I just turned 47 and I promise it is true when I deliver the old line “but I look much younger.” I am attractive, with long-ish brown hair, brown eyes and a few freckles during summer. I’m 5’5" and a size 4. Although I’m active and outdoorsy, I am not a dedicated workout queen- probably because I continue to get away with it. I’m a very social lady, I enjoy my friends and making new ones. I’m comfortable meeting new people in group situations, and am confident that no Velcro jokes will be made about me should you invite me to a party or office function. I’m a proud mom of athletic teen boys; one is an amazing drummer, one is trying on his ‘acting hat’ these days.
I am looking for a confident, easygoing man who is very intelligent and can make me laugh- I love a sly wit. (Ok, I'm sorry! I like 'em kinda tall- can't help it...) You should also be attractive- a well-maintained physique is something I respect. And mutual attraction can't be ignored as an important part of the chemistry between two people. You should be comfortable with yourself and your accomplishments, so your focus in life right now is not proving yourself to others, but living the best life you can and being the best person you can. I like real conversation with honesty and depth- not too much fluff. Not to say it’s always serious or cerebral, just not always about the weather, you know?
In no way am I here looking for a fast-track, dive in head-first with my eyes closed, "where's my white knight to rescue me?" sort of deal. But I'm not looking for a batch of dinner dates either. I hope to find a quality guy, someone to share some time with, good conversation & hopefully some fun and laughs. And wouldn't it be so cool to find that spark you can’t describe with words?
