I have been in LA now for just over 5 years, originally from Australia. I think I have figured this place out, as much as anyone can figure out LA.
I'm a high school teacher, a job that I find equal parts rewarding and frustrating. I enjoy working with teenagers, they make things interesting, but they can try your patience.
I like to get away as much as I can. Weekends in Vegas, Chicago or wherever strikes my fancy. I try and do a big trip each summer, have to take advantage of that long break. Though my last few big trips have been back to Australia to meet my niece and nephew.
I enjoy sports, have always loved baseball and since moving here have gained an appreciation for American football. College football is just a lot of fun, even without a school to truly call my own.
What I'm looking for in a partner is someone who can complement me (not compliment though that is always nice to hear). I have friends who are just amazing couples and to see them together, you can see how they make each other better. I would like to be part of a couple like that. I want someone who looks to me to be their number one fan and will fill that role for me. Someone to share the minutiae of my day with and to tell me theirs.
