I own my own business, own my own home, am a college graduate, love to cook, and live and feel younger than I am. I can't really believe I'm in my 40s now, so that's probably a good thing. I'm stable and strong and don't need a man to support me and do things for me -- but if I found the right man who treated me like a lady, I'd treat him like a king. I'm looking because of desire, not out of necessity. My life's good, time to find someone to enjoy it with. I'm kind of a foodie-adventurer-nerd-girl. Big brush, broad strokes. I love to try new things, travel, go new places, learn new stuff, and just EXPERIENCE things. If you aren't growing, learning and changing, you're dead -- right? I'm very young at heart. Most of my friends, my closest friends, are 5-10 years younger than I am. That doesn't mean I'm immature -- I just seem to have more in common with people who are also young at heart and sharp of mind. If you're my age or older please make sure you've been able to hang on to a sense of wonder about the world and the ability to laugh until you can't breathe. My inner child wants a playmate as much as the rest of me wants a serious partner. The important people in my life would describe me as big-hearted and fun (trust me, I asked them for references!). I'm an open book and honest almost to a fault, which also means sometimes I will share my opinion whether or not you asked for it. I also love to laugh, and I often laugh at myself. I think they'd also tell you I'm generous, kind, and understanding, with a capacity to care deeply and the willingness to do what I can to make a difference and help others. I like finding ways to "give back," and right now my project is taking my dog through advanced training to become a certified Therapy Dog. Then we will visit hospitals, care homes, etc., to brighten the days of folks who could truly use some unconditional love and a smile. My ideal guy would be mature enough to manage his own life like an adult, but young at heart enough to be able to be silly. Laughing and giggling and getting a little crazy are really underrated. I do best with someone who can be laid back and easygoing, but not afraid to stand his ground (or tell me I'm wrong, if I am). Please be open to new cultures, new experiences, new STUFF. Speaking of new stuff, I'm on a new health regimen and am excited to say I'm working on getting in better shape and putting excellent fuel in my body. I have started juicing fresh fruits and veggies in addition to eating right and incorporating some exercise. I'm truly on a mission to take excellent care of myself physically, emotionally and even spiritually. I am kind of brainy, so you need to like that. You don't need to be college educated, just know what you like and be able to carry on a conversation! Come on, lets have some fun. It's a big, big world and there's a lot to see.
