As a professor I not only receive pleasure from knowing that my students are learning, but also that most of them are enjoying themselves while they are learning I have even succeeded at making students enjoy statistics.
Several interesting facts that I have taught in my classes:
1) Smiling increases blood flow to the brain and actually increase your mood (The phrase that "smile and world smiles with you" has a physiological basis). Before I learned this, I was known for my smile and for appreciating other people's smiles.
2) I have alwys loved the ocean. It turns out there are more negative ions in the air at the beach and research has found that they increase the mood of individuals exposed to them in an experiment.
3) People who salivate more in response to a drop of lemon juice on their tongue are more likely to be introverted than extraverted (To find out why, you will have to meet me or take my class).
4) How to detect whether or not your significant other has stopped loving you.
My favorite vacations have been to Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, Europe, BVI's, St. Marten, Grenadines, & Cancun. As a summer job, I delivered Winnebago motor homes to or thru every state except North Dakota & Hawaii.
I was born and raised in the Midwest. I am a very optomistic and happy individual. I dislike conflict and I believe in smiling at and being considerate to everyone (including those people that I have never met before and will never see again). I am a strong believer in the "Serenity Prayer"
My favorite activity is spending time with my 20 year old son. I am an extremely good listener and I really enjoy the process of learning about what makes other people tick. As a psychologist I will analyze you, myself, and our mutual dynamics;I will work hard at making our relationship one that will be as special as it can be.
I have been separated from my wife for more than five years and we expect to be divorced within the next 2 to 5 months.
