After much consideration, I have decided to try this online dating thing. I guess I hoped I would just be crossing the street or waiting in line to get a coffee in the morning and I would happen upon a man who would spark my attention and then ask me to dinner. I am not completely giving up on that option but in the meantime, I thought I should give this a try.
I grew up in Los Angeles and Vancover BC. I went to school in La Canada California but spent summers and holidays in Vancouver as both my parents are from there. I truly love it there and still visit regularly. I have explored the US over the last several years and have had the opportunity to call a few different places home. I lived in Alpharetta GA for four years and worked throughout the southeast. I love the south, the people there are some of the most genuine I have ever met and the way of life is so easy and peaceful. There really isn't a better place to shop for furniture or decorate which is a passion of mine.
In 2006, I decided to move to NYC as it was a place that captured my heart when I visited and I swore I would call it home at some point in my life and I did. I am so glad I took a chance and lived there for seven years It will be a part of me forever. I visit often and love enjoying it as a local not a tourist. I plan to go back for the rest of my life and look forward to sharing the city with someone I love.
I moved back to LA in February and live in old town Pasadena in a historical site built in the 1920's. I love the idea of the past generations who have lived here and the history of this beautiful city. I am happy to be back to spend time with my parents, sister, nephews and all my life long friends. I am getting used to the laid back, So Cal style of life and smile every time I get to drive to a grocery store, park right up front and don't have to pay for parking.
I sell medical devices in LA. I did this in NYC as well. I love my job and industry and truly have a great work life balance. I feel lucky to have such a good job, in an ever changing industry that affords me so much time to enjoy my life.
I am a very honest and upfront person, you have to be to survive in NYC. I am generous and spontaneous. I love to go out for dinner, explore new places, go on hikes and weekend get aways. I try and visit other countries once a year and am always looking for something to read or see that will inspire me. I have lots to say, enjoy a good discussion and am usually the initiator when it comes to ideas on things to do.
I have been in a few long term relationships, I have learned so much about others and about myself over the years. I really am the type of person who enjoys caring for someone else and sharing myself with another. I just haven't found my soul mate yet.
As it stands to date, I would like to get to know a few different people, share dinner and drinks and stories. I am optimistic that taking this step will help me to find someone special.
