Hi my name is Brandon and I am addicted to politics.
Phew that feels good to get off my chest. In all seriousness I do follow politics closely and try to keep informed on what is going on in the world, from ground breaking cancer research to micro-financing and even the occasional political scandal; who doesn't love the irony of a social conservative soliciting sex in an airport bathroom. I have a great group of friends and am close with my family. I regularly go to sporting events (Go Giants!), wine and beer tasting, museums and plays (I am shockingly cultured). I can even cook and actually enjoy it, especially when a good bottle of red wine and cheese is involved. I love the outdoors, whether skiing in the winter, camping in the summer or hiking whenever it is nice out. For a relaxing day outdoors reading a book or throwing a Frisbee in the park or at the beach is always nice. I believe laughter is very important and try to only be serious when needed. I can be sarcastic and enjoy witty banter and good conversation.
I recently started a new job in business development/sales for a "green" LED lighting company; I am the environments number two fan, so this is very exciting. Although it is a great job, my passion is my Fair Trade and eco-friendly import/wholesale/e-commerce company (got all that?) that I started; it is my way of creating positive change in the world. I got back from my initial trip in the Fall, six weeks in Southern Africa. It was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back and explore more countries; Southeast Asia is next.
I am looking for someone that enjoys dressing up and going out for a night on the town as much as staying in to cook dinner and watch a movie. Someone that enjoys learning new things, has hobbies and passions of their own and can hopefully teach me a thing or two. You also must like/want to travel to far off destinations because I just got back from two countries I used to not be able to point to on a map (Swaziland and Lesotho anybody?). Is that you?
