Hi. My name is Lauren and I've been living in DC for a few years now. I was raised mostly in California, and spent some time in the Midwest and up in New England for grad school. In the past few years, DC has definitely started to feel like home.
I love learning, and really enjoy getting out and trying new things. This goes for places, activities, food, books, etc....I'll probably try just about anything once. I love heading out for a run along the Potomac, a night out with friends, or just spending the day looking for a fun (and maybe even slightly random) adventure. I'll also wander through a bookstore for longer than I care to admit, but will probably wind up going home with some of the first books that caught my eye.
My family is also really important to me, and my three siblings are hands down my absolute favorite people.
I'm looking for someone who has the same sense of family, is curious about the world, and loves to try new things. Someone who is honest, grounded, intelligent, mature, and responsible, but who also knows when it's time to have fun. Someone who can hold a conversation on a variety of subjects, but can really "nerd out" from time to time about a few of his favorite topics. Someone who can be a best friend. I love to travel, and I'm usually planning my next big adventure to some slightly random foreign destination. I'd love to meet someone who's had some great adventures, and is still eager to explore the world around him.
