I'm a mellow guy who is amazed by the world. I'm a musician who
likes to sleep, despite being a night owl. I like space and down time,
and generally live a quiet life. I'm spiritual, but don't follow a religion.
I meditate daily. I like animals a lot and don't believe I want kids. I have
a good office job that I enjoy, but view it as a means to an end.
I'm not claiming to be a very good musician, by the way, that's just
what I do for fun. I used to be into photography. I put the camera
down, but still enjoy looking at photography and art and have an
easy time appreciating the ascetics of the real world. Working out
has been an on an off hobby for me - I ran a half marathon once,
got fairly close to a century cycling and have picked up some heavy
stuff. Lately I've been taking it easy, walking and running some.
I had a crazy time between 18-22 and I'm over the party lifestyle,
fitting in, being cool, any of that. I generally like to look 'nice' and can
pull off a legit 'scruffy' look too, but I am not trying to play a part and
would rather avoid stumbling into looking like a particular niche. Concerts
here and there are cool, eating out is nice, even the occasional club
is fun, but I'm more of an 'in' that 'out' guy. I'm more apt to think about
'going outside' like taking a walk than 'going out on the town'. In fact,
I don't eat meat, smoke or drink, though you can drink and eat whatever
you want without it bothering me.
I have listened to a lot of classic rock, older indie rock and metal, and
was actually in rock bands when I was younger. For a couple years
I only listened electronic stuff and classical, but recently went back
rock. Music is important stuff to me.
As much as I sound like a hippie (also a socialist - though I don't like to
talk about politics often), I have a tie wearing job and I don't listen to jam
bands. Plus a part of me is a big skeptic. I find most things that are taken
very seriously to be funny. That would include things like most subcultures,
people that get angry when they drive, getting very pumped up about
sports, arguing with friends - stuff like that.
I actually like my job, which still seems crazy to me. I'm in marketing and
get to back and forth between being creative and analytic.
I enjoy a good bite and girls who are comfortable with their sexuality.
I'm kind of a physical person. I appreciate beauty in general and being
able to reach out and grab it...well I enjoy that.
People tell me I'm quiet, but I think it's more that I'm willing to listen and
most people wont stop talking when given the opportunity. The closer
I am with someone the more yappy I get.
