I am new to on-line dating, but I will try to sum up in 4,000 characters who I am. Professionally, I am an educator who is passionate about opening the minds of our youth and rebuilding the education system. I am interested in global and multi-cultural education, and I have traveled domestically and internationally trying to learn about it. I am also really interested in social inequalities and I enjoy conversations and civil disagreements surrounding these issues. Personally, I am a pretty easygoing person. I love the concept of an organization, but I have made peace with the fact that I feed off the energy of the moment, and rarely stick to a script. I am a city girl, who lives in the suburbs and likes the outdoors in moderation...if that makes sense. I grew up close to NYC and I love walking and taking in the noise, energy, and feeling of the city. However, I moved to the suburbs for work, and I enjoy the occasional hikes, running without the smog, and making to do lists of things I would like to do, but never seem to get around to actually doing (gardening, camping, etc.). I love to laugh and I love my friends, I consciously surround myself with people who know how to relax, can talk junk and take it too, and allow me to be me (the free spirit that I truly am). In my down time, which I don't have much of, I love trying to new foods, wines/ drinks tasting, spending time with my animals, and watching football.
I am looking for someone who is go with flow, but a little more structured than I am...someone needs to keep us focused. I am 6 feet tall, therefore, my ideal partner would be taller than 6'3, but height is negotiable. I love a man who can work with his hands and is not afraid to tackle projects. I am looking for someone who has a similar balance of loving the city and enjoying the outdoors as me (that may be a tall order). Overall, I want someone who is respectful, cultured, good sense of humor and sincerely kind.
