Essay:
I am looking for a friend who feels comfortable in her own skin and not afraid to take chances in a relationship. I have what some call "old-fashioned" values. I am guilty of holding doors open for women. Friendship is much greater than a destination, though getting there can be fun. I have a son who finished college, has a great job, and is living on his own. I am proud of him. I believe work is a form of prayer and consider having a job a blessing. I earned my degrees and have a job that I love. But there is an emptiness inside me that is greater than career goals: loving someone and being loved; sharing one's life with someone hand in hand. Sharing love and devotion. I don't watch sports on TV. I'd rather take you to see the game in person. Win or lose, we can still go out for a pizza and share some laughs. I love children and a mother who is dedicated to them is awesome in my book. Tell me about your day, your worries, and your plans. Fill me in with what excites you. I am a good listener. Maybe a coffee house rendezvous to discuss the latest novel you are reading; or an afternoon drive just to spend time together? I would enjoy taking you to a restaurant or just enjoy spending an evening watching a movie and sharing a bowl of popcorn.
