It's always hard to describe yourself, but I guess most people would say I'm a very easy going girl. I don't let much get to me, and I think most problems in life can be solved with a little open, honest communication. I'm generally a positive person, so I like people who have a similar outlook on life. I'm always up for trying something new whether that be a restaurant, sport, or just hanging out with new people. For me it's all about who you're with, not what you're doing.
I love to cook. Pretty much everything I eat is home-made, or at least partially. My dad was a chef for 10 years and taught me everything he knows. I love making new recipes or tweaking the ones I know to get them just right. I'm the type of person who will run back to the grocery store twice in one night if I have to. I also love to eat out. There are so many great restaurants in Chicago. I'm on a mission to try them all!!
Family is very important to me. I have two older sisters who are my best friends. I have a brother too, but he tends to be overwhelmed by all of the woman in the family. :) Between the three of them I have 6 nieces and nephews. Luckily the whole family lives out in the suburbs so I get to see them often. The kids love coming to the city too. I like to do things with them that they don't get to do at home like ride the L/bus, go to the beach, actually walk to wherever we are going and iCream is a huge crowd pleaser. I'm pretty sure my nephews would be totally happy riding the L all day long though.
I try to run a few times a week and usually join at least one other sport per season. Beach volleyball is my favorite, but I've also played soccer, indoor volleyball, dodgeball, and flag football. I've worked for a really great company for the last 4 years and I absolutely love my job. I'm lucky to work with some of the smartest people I know, who I also consider my friends. We're a tech startup at heart so things move fast and we're always cranking out new stuff. I'm a bit of a closet nerd. I love new technology, video games, gadgets, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and anything in that genre. But shhh! Don't tell ;)
I’m looking for someone who has similar interests, but can also teach me a few new things. Who isn't looking for that though right? I have a pretty active social life and would love to find someone I can share those activities with. But more importantly, someone I can be just as happy hanging on the couch with. I like guys who challenge me and push me to be the best version of myself. I am typically attracted to intelligence, laid back personalities, guys who are talkative, stay active, and are a bit sarcastic. Anyone who is into food will get along with me. If you're a runner too, that's an added bonus.
