What you see is what you get, I am extremely honest and forthright, maybe to a fault, and tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve. I am fluent in sarcasm and like those that can speak my language. I love to laugh and have a good time, (stand up comedy is a guilty pleasure), but enjoy serious and heartfelt conversations and talks that leave you thinking. I love to ask questions and learn about people, hear their stories, and what makes them who they are. I love old people for so many reasons, but mostly because of what you can learn from them. I like to think that I am loyal and dedicated to the people that are important to me. Perhaps a therapist in a past life, I love to listen and give advice.
While an admittedly biased statement, my family is amazing, I am extremely close with them and enjoy spending time with them every chance that I get, which is what brought me up to New England in the first place. Originally from NJ, and living many years in NYC, I am a city girl on the surface, but a small town girl at heart, I love the comfort of family, good friends, good food, and any place that makes me feel at "home".
I've been told that I am OCD, and while I do love organization and a clean space, I feel I am better at "letting go" with age. I'll admit I like to have a schedule (some say a creature of habit), but I also love those days that take you to unplanned places that leave you feeling refreshed and inspired. I have done my fair share of travel, but would like to do more of it, I love to explore new places and meet new people, and would love a partner to do that with.
Running is like breathing for me and something I do every day – good for the mind, body, and soul, and is truly a place where I can release. I like to start my days off with a long run (outside preferred), which tends to make me late to work from time to time (ok, often)…but life is about balance right? ? I am a hard worker in a fast-paced industry, but I do strive to keep balance in my life and always make time for my family, friends and self.
I love to eat (hence all the running) and any place with great ambiance, whether it be my home, someone else’s or a fabulous restaurant... I love a space that lends to good food, drinks, paired with good company, conversation, and of course lots of laughter.
I hate the whole dating thing… I’ve never really had to do it, and am quickly finding out that I am not very good at it. It’s really a tough process to find someone who has what you are looking for and who you also have a connection with. I am hoping to find an active person who enjoys spending time with me but also has outside interests and hobbies. Someone who is honest, smart, passionate, driven and motivated, knows what they want in life, someone I can laugh with until I cry, but that I can trust with my feelings and can be serious with. Someone who challenges me, inspires me to be a better person, enjoys the same things, but can introduce me to some new things too. Oh, and a great smile, a kind soul, and a big heart.
