Ok, so my friend covienced me to try this online thing claiming that i put no effort into dating; and, as a result, that I'm destined to die a lonely old lady with 45 cats that will eventually consume my decaying body. Scare tatics work in some cases. Ha!
So, here I am. I'm new to the area. I suppose I'd describe myselft as fun, silly, outgoing, athletic and low-key. I do have a serious/academic side that I unleash when appropriate. :) Let's see, I've played soccer for most of my life, and I'm into long distance running as well. I just started a Phd program after working as an occupational therapist in the Army for three years (think GI Jane, but much less hardcore). Anyway, I'm looking to meet new people in the area.
I have a great network of friends and family. I love film (mostly indie and foreign), museums, trying new restaurants, running, soccer, Ooo and the symphony. I'm adventurous, and I love to travel (headed to Peru this summer for an Epidemiology course!).
Please note, I cannot live without gummy bears, crime dramas, Masterpiece Theatre, NPR and lots of laughing. My music taste is hodgepodge...but no death metal, please.
I'd like to meet someone who is fun and likes to joke around. A bit of a geeky side doesn't hurt either. I try to keep mine under wraps, but occasionally it just comes spilling out! :) I like to relax at home sometimes, but I'm definitely not a homebody, more of doer.
I'm at University of Texas Medical Branch at the moment, but will be completing my dissertation research in San Antonio and Dallas.
