I was born and raised in NYC, I am very close with my family and have a small group of close friends that are like family. My friends would probably describe me as witty, smart, loyal and someone who doesn't beat around the bush. I'm a terrible liar (you can read it all over my face), I love trivia games, I make amazing red velvet cupcakes, and I'm pretty non-judgmental (as long as you're not hurting children or animals).
On weekends I'll usually go out to a bar with my friends, go see a show (I love live music) or take a quick trip somewhere close by like DC or Atlantic City. I have recently taken up running and completed a half marathon in January - I didn't come in last, so I count that as a win. But generally I'm terrible at sports, I was always last picked and was massively uncoordinated. Now, later in life, I've just adopted the attitude that I don't even LIKE sports so, I'm rejecting them before they can reject me (and yes, I realize in my scenario "sports" is some faceless entity, but yeah, just go with it). I do like watching sports and am a Yankees and Jets fan, so I go to games whenever I can. Also, the World Cup was on in my office a few years ago and I got into that.
Qualities that are important to me in a relationship are loyalty, the ability to communicate and listen, intelligence and a dry/kind-of dark sense of humor (but not mean spirited, think like Rob Delany's tweets). I don't really have a type because, well, I just don't believe there are "types". No two people are exactly the same and just because they happen to have one attractive trait in common doesn't mean that some of them aren't raging racists or compulsive gamblers. So, I don't really want to rule anyone out or in based on a "type" that they superficially fit into.
With that said, if you're chill, like to travel, spend quality time with friends just telling stories and enjoying life without the need to constantly move at 110mph from one activity to the next, and are looking for a friendship that will hopefully turn into a relationship, then drop me a line and say hello.
