About me: I would say I am who I am today because of my time spent in the Army. I joined after 9/11 as an infantry soldier and was stationed in Germany for 4 years. I loved every minute of it. I was deployed to Kosovo for 9 months for peace keeping operations. Kosovo was just an amazing place with a beautiful countryside and amazing people. The night we returned from Kosovo, we were told that our unit was deploying to Iraq for OIF2 in 7 months. Even though I was scheduled to get out before then, I volunteered to extend my contract so I could deploy to Iraq with my friends who I consider my brothers. I didn’t want to live my life with regret, knowing they were sacrificing their lives and I skipped out on them. My experiences in Iraq are something I rarely share unless I have a few too many, then I turn into that old vet at the bar talking about the war and how these young kids have no respect. No Joke ha ha. I am a humble, shy person and I appreciate the simple things in life that most take for granted (is that too cliche??) When I got out of the Army I knew exactly what I wanted and it’s all slowly coming together. Finish college (almost done) get my own place (done) a good job (done) someone to share my life with (hello match). My old friends have their lives and I missed out on 4 years so match is my best bet. I consider myself a gentlemen. I believe in opening doors for women, sending flowers for no particular reason and I respect my elders. I love lazy days on the river and I love the outdoors, even though I don’t get out as much as I would like too. My idea of camping isn’t getting a tent and going to some camp grounds, I like to sleep under the stars. I’m also a little nerdy when it comes to computers or just tech stuff in general. Im that typical guy who puts things together by the picture on the box before i dig into the instruction book. I’m sure I can keep going….
Who I’m looking for: I’m looking for a woman who is successful, independent and someone who doesn’t have some insane past that would affect us later on in life; someone who isn’t afraid to get dirty but also looks elegant in a dress for a night out; someone who can pay for dinner but will let me pay instead. I’m looking for someone is content with their life as it is now and is ready to make that next commitment of a relationship. Hope you’re out there.
