A little about me.
I am close with my family. I have three brothers and as I consider it, three best friends. My parents are deaf, but my brothers and I are all hearing. My parents deafness has probably had a more profound impact on my life then I realize, but to me they are just mom and dad. I run regularly. I enjoy playing tennis, backpacking, riding my motorcycle and playing simple sing-able (is that a word?!) songs on my guitar. I've traveled at every available opportunity. I've backpacked through Europe and the Middle East on numerous occasions. I spent 6 months backpacking through South America. I lived in Tanzania, Africa, for six months while working for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Recently, I spent 3 weeks exploring the countries of Croatia (amazing), Bosnia and Serbia. My favorite country is Spain and if I could live in one city until I die it would be San Sebastian, Spain.
I can be sarcastic. Humor is important to me. I like to joke around and I enjoy people who have a good sense of humor. Crude humor is the best humor. If your joke mentions genitalia or the function of genitalia then I am probably going to like it. And watching people trip, while damaging and embarrassing to the person tripping, is inherently funny to me.
I'm not a "morning person." I prefer to sleep in and approach mornings slowly. My ideal work day would be from 10 am to 4 pm. Another reason why I should live in Europe.
I like to salsa dance (though I haven't salsa danced in over a year) and to go to concerts or any live music performance.
I enjoy beer, whiskey and red wine (white wine gives me a headache), good food and a strong, but caring, personality.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR:
Someone with an easy laugh and a good sense of humor. A person who feels down if they can't get their exercise in during the week, but isn't overly concerned about missing it. Intelligence is sexy and I tend to like women with strong personalities (which I've felt comes with a confident person). Some people make the word "opinionated" out to be bad, but I like hearing someone's opinion rather than hearing someone say "It doesn't matter to me." I enjoy conversing with people, so my partner would have to be adept at the same. Communication, honesty and trust are the holy triumvirate of a successful relationship, in my opinion. :) I need someone who feels the same about the magic 3. Additional "stars" if you snowboard, play tennis, play guitar, salsa dance, like backpacking, speak Spanish fluently, wakeboard, love to cook and travel to experience places and not to check off items on the "must see list."
