I've lived in New York 10 years and *finally* deciding to put down roots. I'm orginally from Kentucky and Tennessee and moved to "the big city" after college expecting to be here for a few years...but never left.
One major reason I'm still here: I love my job and my colleagues. I don't live to work, but very much enjoy the satisfaction that my career brings me. I've worked at the same company since I graduated and continue to find challenges and successes that make it worthwhile.
Another reason I'm still here: My friends. They are amazing people that bring the city to life and make my life so fulfilling. We find all sorts of ways to have fun and get into trouble.
And now yet another reason: I recently navigated the NYC real estate market and bought an apartment. I've loved creating a home and exploring Brooklyn Heights.
I'm looking for even better reasons to stay in the city I now call home.
