Hi! I'm an adventurer in every part of my life, and this is my latest adventure! I'm fun loving, a bit intellectual yet down-to-earth, and equally happy scaling a mountain as I am having a nice dinner with good wine and great conversation.
My most characteristic trait would probably be my laugh. I took Emerson’s quote “To laugh often and much” to heart. I genuinely find many things funny (read: I'll laugh at your jokes)! It’s the best cure for any bad day.
I spend much of my spare time either outside or in a yoga studio. I love winter and summer equally, so living here is perfect. I can drive to winter when I want a snow fix, but I don't have to drive through it to get to work. Winter for me means I get to shred powder on my snowboard in Tahoe. I spend many winter weekends at Kirkwood and I'm sad the winter is winding down. In the summer I lace up my hiking boots and take impromptu backpacking trips into the mountains or don some spandex and head out for a ride on my road bike. My recent trips include backpacking in Desolation Wilderness, Lassen, and Jasper. Life is too short to not experience all you can.
When I'm not enjoying the wilderness, I like to spend time at home. I especially love experimenting with recipes in the kitchen. I've most recently been on a French food kick. My next hurdle is Indian food. I have a cookbook called 660 Curries and I'd like to make a few of them. I also enjoy learning, whether listening to NPR, reading magazines, or reading books. I'm taking a rare break from fiction and I'm reading Conscious Business right now.l
Between all of that fun, I have a very rewarding career. I have worked in life sciences since college, first as a chemical engineer and now as a marketer. Saving lives gets me up every day.
So what kind of man am I looking for? First of all, I'm looking for a serious relationship. Ideally, I’d like to find someone who is intelligent, active, and enjoys new experiences and adventures, whether they’re backpacking, swimming in powder in the mountains, or trying a new restaurant.
