Hi there! I'm a high school history teacher and I'm looking to find the same fulfillment in my personal life as I have in my professional life. But who isn't looking for that, right? I love what I do because I get to learn new things everyday and discuss what I love. I'm pretty funny and laugh at myself all the time, usually because I'm making a fool out of myself! I am truly laid back and I try not to worry about the things I cannot control. I'm honest to the point of sometimes getting myself in trouble. The Puritans have a saying, "many a man digs his grave with his teeth." Sometimes that's me. I am pretty independent; own my house, my car and I have invested heavily in shoes. Of course, I love and adore my family and friends. I try my hardest to be a really good person, to treat people fairly, to always do the right thing and to no longer bite my dentist. :)
Some other quirky info about me: I love my dog and she is my best friend. She takes advantage of our friendship, but I don't mind. I tend to hog all of the blankets in bed or when on the couch because I am always cold. I do a lot of gardening because I am blessed and cursed with a large, high maintenance yard, so I get a little dirty in the spring and summer! I grow vegetables, so I guess a perk of knowing me would be unlimited produce in the summer, but I don't know how many men would be into that... I still laugh aloud when I watch the movie Swingers, even when I am alone. I much prefer blue to black ink. I think Chris Matthews is awesome and I sort of have an intellectual crush on him. (He's no Tim Russert, though) I know he's married and that's part of why I am on Match!
Who am I looking for? I'm not really sure. He'd have to be smart and be able to laugh. He'd have to be that perfect balance of serious, but not too serious. Most importantly he has to be caring and compassionate. I have to add that he has to be independent and have his "stuff" together. So, if you are him, then email me!
