Hello!
Let me tell you a little bit about me... I am an upbeat, positive person who likes to be social and explore new things, meeting new people and having adventures. I greatly value the long-term friendships I have in my life and want to be a supportive force in my friend's lives as I hope they are in mine.
I've been in DC for almost 9 years and now call it home. I grew up in a small Illinois town so I'm a Midwest girl at heart.(I'm from the hometown of John Deere Tractors and yes, there is a museum!) I work for the government and enjoy my profession. I'm drawn to intelligent people who enjoy conversations on any and all topics but don't get offended easily. I've been known to use sarcasm and crack stupid jokes and of course, have light-hearted debates.
I love my family and all six nieces and nephews but don't get to see them as much as I'd like. I am a new Girl Scout Troop leader, which takes up a good deal of time but is worth it (let me know if you want any cookies!). I want to be a mom someday and am looking for a committed relationship with someone that wants children as well.
I love the outdoors, camping, the beach, hiking, skiing, and kickboxing. I have a red belt in Tae Kwon Do but now take kickboxing and boxing classes for exercise. I love to travel but who doesn't? Mostly, I go to warm destinations. There's nothing better than the beach, the sun, and a rum drink!
I grew up a Catholic but am open to most religious ideas. Politically, I lean conservatively, but only for fiscal decisions. Otherwise, I'm definitely moderate. I believe social or private matters should be left to the individual to decide.
Overall, people would describe me as fun, bubbly, intelligent, and personable. I hope to find a guy in the same stage in life that is funny, nice, loyal, and knows who he is and what he wants in life.
