Hi there - I will try to give you a sense of who I am, as well as what I'm looking for in a partner. The key word here is "try". I think it is pretty difficult to sum a person up in a couple of short paragraphs. But I hope that my words, combined with my various photographs give you a little idea of me.
So, if you've looked at my photos already - you will see two key trends: I like to travel and I'm smiling and laughing often! You will also notice some variety in what I like to do, which includes adventure. From all over hiking, to fishing in Alaska, xc skiing in Colorado, enjoying wine in Napa, time in Belgium, time with friends, to visiting less known spots in Germany on the Baltic Sea. And other than Alaska - all of those travel destinations were in 2012! I've had some really incredible opportunities to travel, met some very interesting people along the way, and got to experience a variety of cultures. I look forward to much more of that in my future.
Another thing that I love is photography. I have a few cameras, including my point and shoots, and a number of lenses. This is by far my favorite hobby. Nature photography is great - animals, flowers and landscapes; and I dig more artistic eclectic shots that might include architecture or something - but I think my favorite is photographing people. No posed portraits, but people just as they are. If I can capture someone when they are just being themselves, then I have captured something truly beautiful!
One more thing that I really love - and, most of all, is God. It took me a long time to get to this point of faith, but I am so thankful that I am where I am today. We all experience various trials and tribulations in our journey through life - and those things have truly helped mold who I am today. And I am truly grateful. I have been blessed with intelligence, a good career, financial security, some great friendships family, peace and confidence in me - and I've also been blessed with the ability to have hope. Hope for the unknown future - and faith and trust in God's direction for it.
So, what am I looking for in a man: Number one thing is that they are a Christian. I truly believe that God should be the foundation for a relationship, so this is non-negotiable for me. I would like to go a little deeper here though, and say that I would like someone who has a relationship with God, not just religion. So if you just follow the religious rituals, then that may not be a relationship...
I am also interested in someone with strong values, a great sense of humor, who enjoys new experiences, who loves to have fun and is self confident. I am looking for someone who is compassionate, who truly cares for others and is generous (ie, charitable giving, volunteering).
I am far from perfect - and I don't expect you to be. But I am a person who is committed to continually learning, growing, and who looks to give and receive grace - and would want the same from you.
