I've never been good at shameless self-promotion. Maybe, if I write about who and what I'm looking for, it will give you a better idea of who I am.
Simply put, I'm looking for someone who is sometimes silly, always smart, warm hearted, stable, patient and fun.
I want to meet a genuinely good person for a relationship that would forever transcend friendship and become a happy, playful, loving, sexy, mutually supportive, suitably serious and rock-solid adventure through life.
While I'm perfectly happy sharing the couch while watching The Daily Show or a good movie, I'm probably at my happiest when traveling with someone special. Short trips to Big Bear, Vegas or wine country? Let's just pack up and go. A big trip to somewhere neither one of us have ever been? Let's make our plans and do it!
I certainly like to get out and have fun but I'm not looking for someone who is constantly on the go. Down-time is important. Relaxed evenings, sometimes with a good wine. Let's see what we can make in the kitchen. Sleeping in together. An occasional day spent in pajamas with just music and/or Netflix. Scrabble and snacks. Opposite sides of the couch, rubbing each other's feet.
It's all about balance. And affection. And staying happy together; A simple touch that speaks volumes. Long conversations about everything and nothing. Comfortable silence. Honesty. Security. Togetherness. Love. That's what I'm looking for.
I know what I want and I'm not going to settle. I want what I saw in my grandparents and what my parents still share. I want humor, devotion, determination, understanding...working together, cherishing each other, mutual respect...a warm and loving tolerance regarding inevitable differences and an easy kind of revelry regarding the things that we have in common.
So does all that say anything about me? I hope it makes sense.
I'm not going to rush. I'm not going to wait forever.
No games. No drama. No debt. No drugs. No doormats. No dingbats. (Is that too much to ask??)
