Yikes, it's a bit terrifying to summarize these types of things, but here goes...
I'm a driven, ambitious and energetic person. I'm always challenging myself and constantly learning, which I think is why I enjoy working in a fast-paced industry so much (finance/capital markets). I'm a voracious reader of the news and I like almost nothing else more than a healthy political debate. I enjoy comedy and satire immensely too, and rarely miss an episode of the Daily Show the Colbert Report.
I'm a Midwest guy, through and through. I grew up in a college town in Indiana in a big family, which was great and my family is the most important part of my life today. My four siblings and I are all really close, and most of us are in the Midwest still. Additionally, I went to college and grad school in the Midwest as well (Northwestern and Michigan).
I've studied abroad twice (college and grad school), first in France and most recently in Singapore. Those two experiences rank among the best in my life. I really enjoy traveling, learning about other cultures and seeing experiencing new things. In an ideal world, I think I would win the lottery and travel all the time!
In my free time, which can be pretty limited given the demanding hours at my job, I usually hang out with my buddies from college and grad school. I spend a lot of time with one of my sisters who lives here in Chicago as well, which is great. I try to get to church a couple of times a month, and to the gym at least a couple of times a week too.
Enough of me rambling on about myself. I think I'd enjoy meeting someone who's smart, ambitious and loves to have a good time. Someone to explore and share a good laugh with!
