I love learning new things and just as often being an absolute goof. I'm a school teacher, so I have the very good fortune of having a job that makes me laugh every day (usually several times an hour). One of the things I love about it is that it allows me to relate to people from varied backgrounds and perspectives, (and the fact that it allows me to mangle their slang and references).
I'm from Minnesota originally, but long enough ago that it's a mystical land of childhood idealism to me. I still fervently root for the Twins and Vikings, though I'm very forgiving of those who follow lesser teams, and you need not be a sports fan at all. If you're the sort of girl who would enjoy hosting the Super Bowl for our good friends and helping me cook for the occasion, we have more than enough in common on that score, even if you don't have any interest in the game.
Cooking together is one of my favorite things to do as a couple. I'm also a film buff and enough of a music fan to teach a class on the history of rock and roll, but with the right person anything done together would have a touch of magic to it. I'm looking forward to discovering interests I never expected by learning what inspires you.
I have a good life and am looking to enrich it further with someone I can laugh with, celebrate with, talk to, and enjoy being next to in the quiet moments. I'm looking for someone that will amaze me without knowing she's doing it. Someone with the sort of fundamental kindness that babies and animals seem to recognize better than adults.
