What am I looking for...Someone to have a nice time with (at first just a few laughs and a chance to meet a new friend in town), who ultimately could be that person to compliment my life. We can talk about anything, and we can talk about nothing. I would like to be with a man who is passionate yet responsible, he appreciates and respects people, is patient, kind-hearted, and able to find humor in life. I find that so many moments are just funny and it's so much more fun to laugh than get all bent out of shape. I'd like to be with someone who can help remind me not to sweat the small stuff and really be my partner when it comes to dealing with life's challenges. He likes children, meeting new people, and trying new things, he doesn't smoke cigarettes, and is someone who keeps his word (little things and big things) and follows through with commitments. He should be sensual, and giving, and capable of both honesty and trust. A little romance would be nice as well.
I'm relatively versatile about what I'm doing, as long as I'm with the right person. I enjoy concerts...plays...snow skiing..water skiing...walks...music and a glass of wine...the pool...game nights (love Taboo)...funky bars and live music...interesting events (i.e., game nights, costume parties, masquerade balls, a mud run...)..and sometimes I think it would be nice to cook dinner at home and maybe play a game or watch a movie/television show snuggled up on the sofa.
Friends and my family are a big part of my life and when I care about someone I tend to really care a lot. I have a 4 year old niece and 1 year old nephew I adore spending time with. My sister and her family live close by and while I didn't imagine it would be like this when we grew up, I like it a lot this way.
I enjoy what I do for my work and although I have lots of ambitions for my career still, I can finally say I'm in an industry that makes sense for me. I did however take a few detours while figuring out "what I want to be when I grow up" (I've been a: children's snow ski instructor in Colorado, summer camp director, interior design assistant, Pre-Kindergarten teacher, children's photographer....). Now that I have a sharper level of clarity, it is even more important to me that I aim big.
That being said, for me, living life outside of work (spending time with people I love and enjoying life's moments) matters most to me.
I'm ambitious, honest, sensitive, friendly, I'd say extremely warm and affectionate (I come from a family who gives lots of hugs) and compassionate .... I love to travel and see new places as well as visit friends and revisit wonderful places I've already seen.
A few other things I like: conversation...dresses...being comfortable...rain on a tin roof...movies that make me cry...musicals...Broadway...economics...traveling...pretty things...art...writing...music... analyzing...I love kids...semi-planned spontaneity (If you're confused, that's okay. So am I lol.)...Disney...sandals...

* If you're in your 50's or probably even late 40's, you may look great and be the best man ever, but I'm just not interested, sorry.
* When it comes to dating, if things are going well, I'd prefer to make plans about when we'll see each other next and avoid guessing games.
