Hello
My name is Marc. I live in Tehachapi California, but am originally from Nevada/Oregon. How can I be from two places you ask? Well, let?s save that for the first date ;) I work at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. Every day at work is an adventure for me. When I am not tracking F-18?s at work, I love to get out doors as much as I can. I used to be a Wilderness Instructor and I still love to go camping whenever I get the chance. An Ice chest full of cold beer, a camp fire and some really good friends make for the perfect weekend. Most of my camping buddies live over in Bakersfield and many have little babies so, I have been going through a slight case of nature withdrawals ;) I would love to find a new camping buddy, who knows, maybe it?s you. I also love to go to lakes and Rivers, someday I would love to live next to a lake and have a boat dock in my back yard so I can head out fishing on the spur of the moment.
I am a Navy Veteran and I spent 6 years in as an Electronics Technician. After I got out, I went to College and got a B.A. in Psychology. I worked 3 years as a Mental Health Recovery specialist with troubled kids, and I was a substitute teacher for about a year. I really loved those jobs, but unfortunately, it?s hard to make a decent living helping people :( I have been around the world twice and have seen many countries, and have plans to see many more. I would love to go to Spain again soon and maybe even Australia so that I can get an Aborigine to teach me how to play the didgeridoo.
I love to stay active, I will often run 5k?s and the occasional mud run. This year I plan on running in the Volkslauf over in Bakersfield. I ran it last year with my 55 year old uncle and we kicked a lot of butt that day. If you don?t know what the Volkslauf is, look it up. It is a blast. I like to hit the gym to do a little bit of boxing to stay fit, and I try to hit the weights on occasion at my home. I would love to date a girl who could join me in these activities, but you got to let me win if we are racing ;)
Oh btw, I am super duper smart, well at least I think I am ;) I am probably more realistically a smart ass, but I am the one everyone in my family calls for answers. I have an odd sense of humor, but find it a really sexy when a girl gets it. I love long conversations about nothing. I like scifi movies and can?t wait for the next Star Trek movie to come out. I also love action and comedy movies.
