Music has always been my life. There has never been a time when I didn't want to be a performer. The 25 years I taught band, though rewarding, were not the happiest years of my life. I'm very pleased to be retired and playing music part time.
My marriage lasted 43 years culminating in sudden and unexpected death. I can look anyone in the eye, including God, and say I never cheated on my wife. I believe a deal culminating in a handshake is as binding as one signed in front of lawyers and witnesses.
My partner must be open minded but not promiscuous. She should be attractive and adventuresome in dress and makeup. I have to admit to liking women who are a little bit flashy, probably because of the showbiz that still resides within me.
In my eyes chivalry is not dead but it is hiding. I give flowers for no reason, gifts because I want to, and treat my partner generally as if she were a princess. I open doors for my partner and all women - always! I am also not afraid to do the washing, mop the floor, or clean an oven. There is no such thing as “women's work.” The words “I love you” seem to pop out of my mouth quite regularly. Cuddling is one of my favorite pass-times, if not my favorite pass-time. I also hug, hold hands, and kiss in public but without making a public display of it.
My sense of humor is quite offbeat and sometimes irreverent. I seem to be able to find humor in all situations. I have been described as having a great sense of the absurd.
