At the end of the day, what's important is that you're excited about the person whom you're with. It's rare, in my experience, to meet someone with whom you have chemistry, are attracted to on all levels, and the timing is right for both of you... but I know it exists, and therefore have that as a standard requirement. For me, that takes a smart and beautiful woman who is a genuinely nice person that has a really good sense of humor. I don't do high maintenance, argumentative, or dramatic. Someone who is comfortable in her own skin, and has an inner peace and a grounding that so many in this town lack.
Me:
I have finally decided that I will have chickens in the near future... Possibly a goat, as well. ...and hoping for a bee colony.
I'm one of those people to whom proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation matters. Call it a quirk, but it does.
I'm originally from Texas, and I have found that there is some sort of common bond with a majority of other people from Texas. I don't understand it, but it's happened more frequently than coincidence would account for. Bonus points if you're from Texas.
I'm not sure what has changed in my life in the last few months, but I have been immersing myself in music, and have found myself connecting to music in a much more profound way than I ever have in my life... so... you've gotta like music, too.
I'm what you'd consider a 'guy's guy'... in that I work on my own vehicles (and get really greasy on occasion), build things, weld... the list goes on and on. I clean up nicely, though.
I live in Silverlake. That doesn't automatically make me some douchebag hipster... although I do have a penchant for vintage leather jackets and irony.
I've noticed that when I look at certain profiles, this message comes up, saying that, like me, she's a "connoisseur of fine wines." Um... I think the question was something like, 'Do you like wine tastings?' By answering 'yes,' it elevated me to some sort of suave, turtleneck-wearing, sweater tied around my neck as I play croquet and talk about the stock market and polo ponies-kind of guy. ...'elevated' isn't the right term. All's I know is I likes me some wine on occasion. And cheese. On a yacht.
I need to learn and expand my knowledge and abilities at all times... whether it's art, photography, architecture, business, or anything else... I must create to live. I have a 'to do' list the length of my arm, with very lofty goals.
