This morning while stuck in traffic, I was racking my brain on what to write. Didn't want the norm, wanted to be different, think out of the box. While darting into the HOV lane illegally, it came to me…it was my new car. We are similar in so many ways.
Here it goes, enjoy the analogy of me & my ride.....
After moving to South Florida from up North, my 4-wheel drive SUV died. I was kind a happy since this gave me an excuse to purchase a new car. Wanted something practical yet sporty, a new model that was unique. I stumbled upon the new Hyundai Veloster. It was unique, sporty, new practical…all like me.
One of the perks working for the government is a new car discount. Didn’t have to deal with a pushy salesman, no haggling. It was all arranged for me, the easiest car buying experience I ever had…very smooth. Like me, I’m considered a laid back guy, drama free, go with the flow. My personality is the facilitating type; avoid conflict at all cost, like peace and harmony!
So many package options, what to choose? I opted for the upgraded package, dual moon roof, Bose stereo, leather wrapped steering wheel. I too have a nice package. Come on, I just had to say that ; - )
Hands down the warranty was one of the best. 100k bumper to bumper, free road side assistance, toll free help line...the list continues. Again like me, I’m a giving person, rather give than receive. When a friend is in need I’ll be there. I’m a realist type, hold back no punches.
After a few years I can trade it in and it holds it value. If things didn’t work out well with us, I too would be OK. I keep up with my daily workouts. Go to the gym each morning to get my endorphin fix to start my day. Enjoy cooking and eating healthy. Not to say a greasy cheeseburger is good once an awhile. Eating junk food and drinking in moderation, it’s all good!
On the other hand, if I wanted to keep my car for the long term I could put antique plates on it. Just like making that long term commitment and swapping rings. That’s more my speed. No pun attended.
That’s me, just like my new car. If you’d like to know more, take me for a test drive, drop me a note.
