ME: Adventurous? Check. Out Going? Yes. Even keeled? Absolutely. A karaoke god? Nah, just a king, or maybe a duke. Devilishly Handsome? I wouldn't go that far, but my mom might.
I grew up in a small college town in the mountains of Virginia, the son of a professor, and I am very curious about the world around me. I pride myself in my quick wit and ability to interact with people from all walks of life. I've been asked how I identified myself, I would say I'm a mutt. A little bit of everything. I believe the proper word is eclectic...ok maybe random.
I am constantly looking for new experiences and I appreciate both the high and the low brow. I can go to the symphony one night and a NASCAR race the next. I'm always up to something, whether it's hitting a a bar with friends, going to concerts, seeing a movie, visiting a museum or attending a Braves, Falcons, and (in desperate times,) Hawks games. I went to the University of Georgia but I consider myself a rational fan. If it piques my interest, I can be talked into it. That is if I'm not running out in front leading the charge.
I love to travel, having visited five of the seven continents. (I WILL hit Africa and Antarctica) My goal is to visit the U.S. station in Antarctica on my 40th and hire a helicopter pilot to take me somewhere no one has ever stepped foot before. I just finished hiking the Kalalau trial in Kauai, one of the most beautiful and hardest trails in America. Luckily I didn't fall off a cliff into the ocean. I'm a bit of a photo bug and try to find that balance between taking a lot of pictures and enjoying the vacation.
I consider myself a realistic optimist, usually very even keeled and laid back. I'm a serious person, but I approach life with a sense of humor. The more absurd it is, the funnier I usually find it. I think the worst thing a person can do in life is lose perspective. I'm actually 6 foot. Not 5'5 in lifts or 5'9 trying to round up.
And what about you: I am looking for a woman who craves adventure and wants to experience life. A woman who can have fun but also develop a deeper bond. I find a warm laugh (preferably at my jokes), intelligence, creativity and confidence very sexy. A valid passport is always a plus. The ability to use a phone for it's intended purpose (to place and receive calls) is also a must. Texting is a nice convenience but not the be all end all. Sometime using two tin cans and a string works better than a 140 character message.
