I am outgoing, honest and ambitious. Oh wait, that's the generic description from the site. Well, I am honest and ambitious. I'm a little on the quiet side at first but underneath my shyness is a wicked sense of a humor and a good heart. I'm a journalist, so I'm somewhat jaded but secretly I'm an optimist. I like to roam the city, explore neighborhoods and shops (while there are still some neighborhoods and shops left). I am an avid reader, occasional poet and an entertainment buff who can handle all kinds of trivial trivia. I am a little bit of an exercise nut and my pictures are all recent.
I'm originally from the East Coast (New York, D.C.) and on my second tour of duty in Los Angeles. I am a straight shooter and very self aware (for better or for worse).
If you get Louis CK, loved The Wire and Rescue Me then we might have a chance. But I'm not all dark, I watch Modern Family and even The Good Wife. My musical tastes are all over the map: rock, blues, alternative, etc. In the "P" section of my CDs I've got Petty, Pixies, Prince, Police and Pink. I am a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction with a nightstand full of books piled high.
I am looking for someone happy with themselves and comfortable in their own skin. Of course, I'm only somewhat comfortable in my skin so those in the process of getting there are more than welcome.
I could tell you I like long walks and hikes and trips to the museum and rainy nights and all that stuff. It's true that I do, but right now I'm more interested in finding someone whose eyes I can get lost in.
Yes, underneath the sarcasm and snark, I'm a romantic at heart and I still hold doors open. Just because I haven't been married doesn't mean I'm scared of commitment or some sort of player It means I want the real thing.
One last thing, when I say I'm going to show up. I show up. I return phone calls. I answer emails.
