I spend my energy focusing on the "here and now" in life; changing the things that I can and going with the flow with the things I cannot. Working as an ER nurse certainly has its ups and downs, beautiful times and ugly ones. And, working weekend nights does not allow for much outside social time to meet new people. Getting paid to deal with drama at work is the only positive to it. I find that I have a very low tolerance level for it in my personal life.
I was born and raised in Colorado and I love my home state, but North Carolina grabbed ahold of me and I am proud to say that this is now my home! I can't think of anything better than having the mountains AND the beach only a few hours away. Fishing, camping, hiking and enjoying the outdoors is in my blood. I was raised by a farm girl mother, on a small farm of our own. Just don't ask me to hold a chicken...those things are gross!
I have a 4 year old Boxer-baby who has literally traveled coast-to-coast by my side, just the two of us. I am not an obsessive dog owner (no outrageous outfits or birthday parties), but she does love attention, so dog-people only please.
I am looking for someone who does not stress about the "small things". Someone who can share their interests with someone new. Honesty, common sense and a good sense of humor are a must (sarcasm does rate highly with me). Rudeness and a fly-off-the-handle temper are deal breakers. As well as not knowing the difference between they're, their, were, we're, weather, whether, etc.
