I didn't plan to expose what drives me on match.com, but it's the most practical way to do this. To continuously grow as a person, it’s mandatory to be honest with yourself and identify true motivations. We each have the ability to reach a state of mind where life takes on a deeper meaning and priorities are shifted and it starts by asking the right questions which are sometimes the toughest ones to ask. True freedom only comes from letting go of what is not important including our own self-image and living in the moment for that moment, without expectations.
Every day from minute to minute, we are confronted with choices. As correct choices are made, a person's character is strenghthened. Over time you can build a reservoir of this inner strength to draw from at will. It takes a high awareness of your thought process and continuous self-discipline but the reward is to be the person you want to be. It’s very liberating when we appreciate the pain that life brings because of the lesson it presents and the relative comfort when it’s gone. One question I’ll be asking my kids often is “what did we learn from this?” I still ask myself that question almost every day.
What I’m looking for is a girl that looks past the surface and understands herself, the circumstances that caused her to be that way and most importantly, what her purpose is throughout her lifetime. The best relationships come when two people can get the best out of each other and recognize it. A relationship based on mutual respect, trust, attraction, and understanding is a special thing and is worth protecting.
