I'm a professional working in the software industry who absolutely loves the outdoors. I'm passionate about my work and outdoor hobbies like backcountry skiing, backpacking trips, hiking, bicycling, and beach volleyball. I also have two motorcycles which I love to ride any chance I get. I enjoy stimulating conversations on just about anything, and I actively try to be informed about what is going on in the world. Yes, despite working in the software biz, I do have social skills!
Over the years, I've been described as funny, intense, unique, mysterious. I really enjoy having a good time, but I insist on having some variety in life. I'm a stable, sincere person, but the activity assortment is crucial... I'm down for a nice glass of wine chilling at home, or tearing up the Alpental backcountry in waist deep powder. How about a bicycle ride, or a museum, I'm really into it all. I'm famous for being able to objectively look at complex situations, and I thrive in situations like being the new guy at a party of old friends. While it's true I have a lot of emotion, I try to live by really looking at the facts. In short, I have an analytical mind.
I enjoy documentary films, and a good comedy or drama occasionally too. Shows like Mad Men and Rescue Me are my favorites, but I think Seinfeld is great too. Note, I do not have cable TV... I'd rather not deal with commercials, there are better ways to spend my time! Despite being heavily involved in the world of IT, I am not a video/computer game kind of guy. Instead, I'd rather spend time learning about a new technology, helping someone with a computer issue, or putting together a presentation for the special interest group meetings I attend monthly at UW.
I have an *amazing* 2 year old dog who loves other dogs and people and she loves to be outside hiking, skiing, whatever just as much as me! (Ideally I'm looking for someone that does not have pets because I took the time to train mine properly. She is trained on voice commands and spends a lot of time off leash. If your dog or pets are really, really cool, and have social skills then obviously I'd still like to meet you!)
I'm looking for someone that has a wide range of interests/hobbies, who loves to be active, travel and be outside, is willing to try new things, and show me some new stuff too. I don't have a lot of friends, just a couple really close friends. Family is important to me. My parents separated when I was young, and I would never put children of my own through that type of situation.
In the words of Napoleon Dynamite: "You know, like nunchuku skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills." FYI - I have lots of skills!

You don't mind dressing nicely, maybe you even enjoy it. Going out to nice dinners is probably fun for you, maybe even dancing occasionally. Maybe you own skis. You are not afraid to be seen without makeup when on a overnight backpack trip. You have a strong self esteem and are a smart confident woman who can make decisions on your own, but understands the importance of team decisions in certain situations. You have an open mind and are open to new ideas and concepts, but always remain faithful to your core principals. You have a keen sense of humor and can make me laugh too! You have a strong libido, and can keep up with me.
